A client packet is one or more documents a member keeps for their records. Nothing in it needs a signature. The member gets an email, a text, or both, with a link to a private page that has a Download PDF button for every document, and each PDF lands on the member's Documents tab.
The Application Summary is the packet Life policies use. On Life the carrier takes the application in its own portal, so the summary is the member's copy of what they applied for. Sending it is what marks the policy sold.
Which one do I need?
- The client needs to sign it: Signature documents.
- The client keeps it for their records: Client packets.
- It is just words in an email, a text, or an app notification: Messages.
All three live under Templates and sending in Agency Settings, next to Quick Send and Workflows.

Summary out of date
Change the carrier, plan, coverage amount, premium, premium mode, draft date or effective date after a summary goes out and the card says Summary out of date. Resend it so the member has the current version. The sale stands; nothing is blocked.
What the policy panel shows
The Application Summary tile shows when it went out, on which channels, by whom, and how many times the member opened the link. Open PDF shows the copy that went out. View sends lists every send. Turn off link stops a send's private page from opening; the PDF stays on the Documents tab.
Marking a Life policy sold without a summary
Moving a Life policy to Sold any other way asks for the summary first. Admins can override with a reason, and the override is logged on the policy.
Send any packet from a member
On a member record, open Quick send and pick Send packet. Packet templates that fit the member's products are listed. Pick one, check the preview, add a note if you want one, and send.
Build a packet template
Open Client packets
Name it and pick products
Add what is inside
Pick the delivery messages
Set the private page
The Application Summary is a system packet. Its name is locked; the page body and delivery are yours to edit, and Restore default puts the original back.
Needs attention
A packet template that agents cannot send as saved shows Needs attention on the Client packets list. Click it to see why: nothing inside, no delivery message, or a delivery message that was archived, unpublished, or is not a Client packet delivery message. The same list shows at the top of the packet template. Fix each item and save.
